The Tennessee Tennis Patrons Foundation |
|
The Tennessee Tennis Patrons Foundation is a charitable, tax exempt organization founded in 1990. There are two purposes: first, to recognize the outstanding Tennesseans, both living and deceased, who have made significant contributions to our sport. To date, the Patrons Foundation has inducted 61 Tennesseans into the Tennessee Tennis Hall of Fame. The second purpose is to accept donations and provide financial assistance to the Tennessee Tennis Association. Contributions are to promote the growth of grass roots programs by introducing tennis to Tennesseans, both young and old. The President of the Patrons Foundation is the immediate past president of the TTA. A six member Hall of Fame committee selects individuals to be inducted into the Hall of Fame during a ceremony held every two years in the conjunction with the TTA annual meeting. At that event, the Patrons Foundation makes a contribution to the TTA. Where does your money go? Your support goes to the TTA to assist junior and senior introductory programs. Funding is based on need as determined by the TTA, and within the above guidelines. The Patrons Foundation needs, and gladly accepts not only cash donations from individuals and businesses, but in kind donations of property. Donors are recognized by category of donations. All donations are tax deductible. Help introduce the sport we love to everyone from kids to seniors. Become a partner with the Patrons Foundation to keep tennis growing in Tennessee! |
